Ang pabasa ay isang sistematikong proseso ng pagkilala sa mga nakalimbag na titik o simbolo na may kaakibat na pag-uunawa. Isa ito sa mahalagang kasanayan na dapat matutuhan ng ating mga mag-aaral.
