The Department of Education (DepEd) on their Facebook post said that the opening of classes for the school year 2020-2021 on August 24 will be different from the usual setup. The health and safety of all teachers and learners is their primary consideration in developing the Learning Continuity Plan (LCP). Here are the different LCP Learning Delivery Modalities for SY 2020-2021.

There are several Learning Delivery Modalities (LDM) under the Learning Continuity Plan (LCP). The regional and division offices are allowed to choose suitable LDM based on the health situation in their areas.

LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN S.Y. 2020-2021 – LEARNING DELIVERY MODALITIES

Areas Not Under ECQ or GCQ
1. FACE-TO-FACE
Subject to physical distancing and minimum health standards

2. BLENDED LEARNING
Combination of face-to-face and online distance learning, modular distance learning, and TV/Radio-based instruction
a. Face-to-face and Modular Distance Learning
b. Face-to-face and TV/Radio-based instruction
c. Face-to-face and/or Modular Distance Learning/Online Distance Learning/TV/Radio-based instruction
d. Homeschooling
Areas Under ECQ or GCQ
3. DISTANCE LEARNING
Takes place between the teacher and the learners who are geographically remote from each other during instruction.

Three types:
a. Online Distance Learning
b. Modular Distance Learning
c. TV/Radio-based instruction

4. HOMESCHOOLING
Facilitated by qualified parents, guardians, or tutors who have undergone relevant training and subject to regulation. Policy is under review.
