PVP is computed depending on the number of school days and leave of absence.
For SY 2019-2020, all teachers who have rendered continuous service from June 3, 2019, to April 3, 2020, shall be entitled to 80 days total of PVP from Summer and Christmas vacation days, computed as follows:
Total Number of days served from
June 3, 2016 to April 3, 2020
= 306 days
Less: Number of Christmas vacation days
earned from December 15, 2019 to January 5, 2020
= -22 days
Actual Days Served
Total PVP earned from the number of
Summer and Christmas vacation days
= 284 days
= 80 days
|Less: Number of Christmas vacation days||= -22 days|
Number of Summer vacation days earned
from April 4 to May 31, 2020
= 58 days
Factor 0.282 shall be used for the computation of absences and Proportional Vacation Pay. Below is the derivation of factor 0.282.
Number of Summer vacation days
Add: Christmas Vacation Number of Days
= 58 days
= +22 days
(Summer and Christmas Vacation Days)
Divided by Number of Actual Days Served
= 284 days
|Multiply factor||= x 0.282|
